Central Park: Wasl unveils one of Dubai’s largest community parks
Designed for all ages with sport, leisure and social zones
DUBAI – Wasl Group has announced the opening of Central Park at Wasl Gate, introducing one of the largest parks within a residential community in Dubai.
Located in Jebel Ali, the new development is designed as a shared outdoor destination that caters to both residents and the wider public. The launch reflects a broader focus on enhancing quality of life through accessible green spaces that support everyday interaction and wellbeing.
Spanning approximately 82,700 square metres, Central Park sits at the heart of the Wasl Gate master-planned community. The project has been conceived as a central gathering space where daily life can extend beyond homes into open, interactive environments. From physical activity to social engagement, the park is structured to accommodate a wide range of uses throughout the day.

The opening of Central Park comes as 2026 has been designated the Year of the Family, an initiative highlighting the importance of social cohesion, wellbeing and shared experiences. In this context, the park’s design reflects a deliberate effort to create spaces that bring people together in meaningful ways. The development also aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which prioritises stronger family bonds, inclusive communities and improved quality of life across the emirate.
Central Park integrates a variety of features aimed at encouraging both active and passive recreation. Dedicated jogging and cycling tracks provide structured spaces for fitness, while sports courts and a skate park cater to more dynamic activities. These are complemented by quieter zones such as picnic areas and landscaped lawns, allowing for relaxation and informal gatherings.
Design
The park also includes an amphitheatre lawn designed for community events and performances, adding a cultural dimension to the space. A dedicated food truck area introduces a casual dining component, encouraging visitors to spend extended time within the park. Together, these elements create a multi-functional environment that supports diverse lifestyles and preferences.
Attention has also been given to sustainability in the park’s development. Environmentally friendly materials have been used throughout the project, reflecting Wasl Group’s broader commitment to responsible urban development. The design emphasises not only usability but also long-term environmental considerations, ensuring the space remains viable for future generations.
Open access
Central Park is now open to both residents of Wasl Gate and the wider public, reinforcing its role as a community asset rather than a restricted facility. Its accessibility is expected to contribute to increased social interaction and community engagement within the area.
